Volume VIII

SEPTEMBER 1962

Number 9

An increase in single copy price to 75 cents and to $7.50 for annual subscriptions will be effective January 1, 1963. There will be no increase in the Supporting Membership fee of $15.00 which includes the subscription to the magazine. Subscription at the old rate of $5.00 per year will be accepted during the remainder of 1962, and extensions of subscriptions up to three years may be made by current subscribers. Some small loss in circulation is anticipated from this price advance, but best estimates hold that the new prices will increase magazine income to where it will at least match the cost of publication. For several years the REVIEW has not met its costs of printing and postage. It might be added that this new price is not out of line for small and highly specialized publications which carry almost no advertising for support. Most professional journals and similar publications sell for a dollar or more per copy today.

We therefore urge our subscribers to take advantage of this offer to renew their subscription at the old rate and we also urge those who are presently buying their copies on a newsstand to subscribe now at the rate of $5.00 per year. By doing this you will not only be helping the REVIEW with necessary income now but will be helping yourself with a substantial saving!
